SUBIR RAY, M.D.  CEO, Chief Medical Officer, Founder

Dr. Ray, an Innovator, is a Board-Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons specializing in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.  After earning his medical degree with honors at Dartmouth, Dr. Ray completed his residency in general surgery at Roosevelt Hospital. affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.  He further specialized as a Fellow in clinical research in cardio-thoracic surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in New York.  Dr. Ray later traveled to France to train under the esteemed Dr. Joel Leroy, an internationally recognized expert in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. With over 30 years of experience practicing General and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in the United States, Dr. Ray remains dedicated to advancing the art and science of surgical techniques as well as the development of surgical instruments and devices. 

KUOWEI CHANG, Ph.D.  Chief Scientific Officer, Managing Director, Founder 

Dr. Chang holds a Ph.D.and an M.A. in Plasma Physics and Aerospace Sciences from Princeton University and has over 30 years of diverse technical experience in bio-sensor, medical, surgical instruments development, trans-dermal drug delivery, and  mechanical and servo systems research.  He has served as Principal Investigator for NIH, NCI, Army, Navy, Air Force R&D contracts and as an ad hoc technical consultant for NIH Study Section Scientific Review of research grants and contracts.  Dr. Chang has been a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT and serves as Vice President of Industrial & Biomedical Sensors Corp., a GMP firm specializing in design and manufacturing vital signs monitors.  Dr. Chang holds 21 US patents and numerous international patents.

DAVID SMITH,  BSME, MBA.  Engineering and Compliance

Mr. Smith is a medical device industry expert who was formerly General Manager at Galt Medical, VP of Research and Development for Horizon Medical Products, Director of Marketing and R&D for RITA Medical Systems, Director of R&D for Angiodynamics, and President and Chief Technology Officer at TransCardiac Therapeutics.   A serial inventor with two issued patents  (Needle safety device & Novel Vascular Access Device), and 16 Patents pending.  Mr. Smith received a BSME from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of West Virginia.

WANDA A. MESSIMER, RN, CNOR.  Nurse Innovator

A graduate of Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing and Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA,  Wanda holds a nursing diploma, associate degree, and a  Bachelor's Degree in Health Arts.  With over 30 years of diverse nursing experience across hematology, oncology, surgical nursing, and operating room practice. Her specialties include cardio-thoracic surgery, podiatry ,robotics, orthopedic procedures (Mako), gynecology, and  laparoscopic surgery.  A  dedicated scrub  nurse, circulator, surgical preceptor, Wanda plays a key role in mentoring clinical staff and advancing innovation in operating room.
